BAKING BASICS I
Be a better baker. Improve your skills and build baking confidence for more enjoyment and delicious results. Come to one class or take the 4 class series. Thursday series starting February 25th through March 18th from 9:30 to 11amMarch 11th - Cakes

GLUTEN FREE BAKING with STACEY PHILIPPS
Join Stacey, opening pastry chef at Higgins Restaurant and Bar, for this informative class on gluten free baking. Stacey has been baking all her life, and has been designing custom wedding cakes, desserts & confections since 1992. Stacey’s daughter’s diagnosis of gluten-intolerance led Stacey to explore the world of alternative flours, and now she creates delicious desserts without gluten. Stacey will be taking recipes from Julie’s book Rustic Fruit Desserts and transforming them into gluten free variations. The class will feature the Lemon Rhubarb Buttermilk Bundt Cake, Boozy Dried Cherry, Chocolate & Hazelnut Bread Pudding and Shortbread recipes, as well as demonstrate how to make easy substitutions to make most of the other recipes in the book deliciously gluten-free as well!NOTE: The class is held in an environment where wheat is present, and we will be using equipment that is shared with wheat.

FILLED PASTA with JEFF EMERSON
Build on your basic pasta making skills by learning how to make potato and greens stuffed agnolotti and spinach flavored pasta served with a rabbit liver sugo.- Sunday, March 14th from 4:30 – 7:30 pm

Birthday Cakes $300
Come decorate personal 4”cakes and then celebrate with an 8” Baker & Spice birthday cake. (Each guest brings their personal cake home as a favor). Best for ages 8 and up.
Pie Night $350
Gather a good group of friends and learn how to make really great pie. Then eat it! Best for teens and adults.
Pizza Pie $350
Learn to make and toss a pie like nobody’s business. Then enjoy the results. All ages welcome. Pizza, salad and beverages served.
Each 2-3 hour party includes instruction, supplies and basic beverages (soft drinks, coffee/teas). Additional food and beverages can be supplied for an additional fee upon request in advance.
About classes at SweetWares:
Do I receive a discount at the store?
As a thank you, each student will receive a 10% savings on purchases made the day of class.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations up to 48 hours in advance of the class will receive a full refund or transfer to another class of equal value. To cancel a class, please email SweetWares at sweetwares@comcast.net. We regret that we will be unable to give a refund or credit to cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the class.
What should I wear?
We ask that you wear comfortable, casual clothing and closed-toed/rubber soled shoes.
How many students are in each class?
We want to make the classes comfortable and fun therefore we have limited the class size to 10 students for demos and 8 students for hands-on classes, with a minimum of 5. We reserve the right to cancel a class that falls below our minimum requirement. We will issue you a refund if a class is cancelled.
Do I need to bring an apron and utensils?
You don’t need to think about anything excepting enjoying the class; SweetWares will provide you with all the supplies you need to participate.
